Voting irregularities

Yes, I know the election is over. Yes, I know that GWB won. But, some of the reporting about the voting irregularities is getting interesting. Check out this article from Computerworld (not some political rag or blog, but a respected IT magazine):

University researchers challenge Bush win in Florida

As someone who has working in technology for the past 17 years, I know that things can and often do go wrong with systems. No matter what comes of the report, I believe that voting technology needs to be thoroughly reviewed and tested. A zero-defect system with an external audit and reconcilliation process should be the goal.

First post

I have finally joined the 21st century and created a blog! Great. Now... what do I say?

I am plan using this blog to write my thought's about technology, business, the world, life, sports, and other random items that are floating around my mind.

Here's one:

If you have HBO, check out "Last Letters Home", an outstanding documentary about the lives and losses of the Iraq War. Soldier's families read the last letters received from their loved ones who lost their lives in Iraq. It is a very emotional film and difficult to watch at times but it really is a tribute to the soldiers in Iraq. Read more about it here: http://www.hbo.com/docs/programs/lastlettershome/

That's it for now.
